FROM THE WORLD OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Church planting. Our forefathers and foremothers realized the importance of establishing churches where God had strategically placed them. So, too, do our Mexican brothers and sisters. This past Saturday, our Coordinator of Stewardship and Tithing, Russell Carle, presented a seminar on stewardship to a group in the Lenoir, N.C., area. ACGC’s Financial Consultant Jim Davis, CPA, employed two PowerPoint® presentations and a bound booklet of resources as material and information to be considered in dealing with personal financial management. The seminar provided sound advice in areas pertaining to the current financial climate as well as ways to prepare for future needs and objectives. One attendee said, “I wish I had heard this when I was just starting out. Be sure to share this with our younger pastors.”

I am nearsighted, which means that I can see and read easily up close. Things that are far away present a tough challenge. With glasses, I can see very well. My wife has even been heard to say to me that I have good eyes. I am thankful for the comment, so I rarely remind her that I wear glasses.

Needless to say, the human body never ceases to amaze me, even if it needs help sometimes. Our ability to process things and make them intelligible is remarkable.
